This passport reproduction is based on the 1930s era Hawaiian Territorial passport, which varied slightly from the standard US passport. Featuring Warner Oland as the crack Chinese detective Charlie Chan, this prop replica follows all of his international adventures. Dozens of visa stamps chronicle his cases all over Europe and Egypt from 1934 to 1937. The layout, font type and method of filing in the information is all authentic to the period. Page two even has a red notary sticker that has actually been stamped!

This four-page (double-sided) replica is heavily aged by hand to match the appearance of a centuries-old document and is printed from a master which was entirely hand-written using an old-fashioned dip-pen in an historically-accurate 18th century script. Here we have the struggle at Reichenbach depicted in a new and exciting way. The center image is a full-color photograph of the real Reichenbach Falls superimposed on a map of Switzerland. This central photograph is flanked with the familiar silhouettes of Holmes and Moriarty symbolically striving for the summit of The Falls. The legend names the falls and the canonical case in which it was most important. The entire print has been brought to life by our artist through a genuine 8-color giclée print rendered on archival quality paper with archival quality ink - true gallery quality. The multiple shadings and subtle hues add a remarkable three-dimensional, vividness to the work - the image actually appears to be hovering above the surface of the paper upon which it is printed. Each print measures 13" by 19" and is personally signed by the artist!!

Although this isn't the original jack-knife that Mr. Hollmes used to keep "his unanswered correspondence transfixed . . . into the centre of his wooden mantlepiece" it is one that we think Mr. Holmes would have liked. It has a 4 inch long folding blade, made by Frost Cutlery of surgical steel. The blade locks into place when opened. This is an exceptionally high quality "jack-knife," but, that's not the best part! Imbedded in the stanless steel handle is an insert made of naturally shed deer antler upon which there has been hand engraved a likeness of Mr. Sherlock Holmes in genuine scrimshaw! Since each engraving is actually hand rendered by a scrimshaw artist, no two knives will ever be exactly the alike. This is a really nice gift for the Sherlockian collector. You can be sure that your favorite Sherlockian doesn't already have one of these knives becuase this is the first time they have been offered - anywhere!!! Based on the Paramount Pictures version of Sherlock Holmes, set in the 1940s, this passport replica covers the famous detective's travels through eight different countries. Authentically reproduced from vintage British passports from the World War II era. The information within is both printed and hand-written. The photograph of Holmes is that of Basil Rathbone, the face of whom has been most commonly associated with the character. The signature is compiled from Mr. Rathbone's own handwriting. Several different amazingly authentic looking visas have been replicated, and affixed to the pastport, to follow Mr. Holmes’s travels through: Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon, Sherlock Holmes in Washington, The Scarlet Claw, Pursuit to Algiers, and Terror by Night with the visas stamped and signed for each of the countries that this Holmes visited in his movies. Each of these passports is hand-made with meticulous care to detail so, please, try to order your passport at least a month before you actually need it. These do take a while to create, but they are worth the wait. A fantastic “bragging item” in any Sherlockian’s collection!
