Tent-fold note cards bearing the likeness of Basil Rathbone, Nigel Bruce, and Ida Lupino, stars of the 1939 classic movie The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. Cards are A7 size (8" by 5" when folded) printed on heavy glossy card stock and are presented 8 to a package complete with envelopes. Really nice for that friendly Sherlockian note, invitations to the next Sherlockian affair, or to keep around "just in case"! They make a great and inexpensive Sherlockian gift, too.

It is February, 1912. Sherlock Holmes is called out of retirement by his brother, Mycroft, who is acting on the behalf of the British Government. The younger Holmes is to investigate an apparent burglary at the Norfolk home of a wealthy German financier. What appears to be a simple case soon evolves into the dismantling of a German spy ring, but the inves-tigation becomes clouded by suspicions concerning Mycroft's role in the events. What secret agenda is Mycroft Holmes pursuing? What is the truth behind the mysterious loss of the fishing vessles the Misty Jane and the Yarmouth Adventuress in the North Sea? Before the investigation is complete, events crystalize to reveal a conspiracy, which could the very existence of The Empire, in the months leading up to the First World War.
